About Us
Who We Are and What We Do
The Royal Philatelic Society of Victoria (RPSV) is a society of members participating in all aspects of philately. Our goals are to promote stamp and postal history collecting, and to emphasise education and knowledge-sharing. We welcome people with all kinds and levels of philatelic interests.
Through this website, we offer the Society’s programs, access to our extensive library and to our quarterly magazine, and information about our expert committee and other services.
At our premises at 303 High Street Road, Ashburton, Melbourne, we conduct regular meetings at which members and visitors display their collections and exchange information. Members can buy and sell items through our exchange branch.
Meetings
The Society meets on the third Thursday of each month except January. Refreshments are served from 7.15 pm and the meetings commence at 8pm. Supper is served after the meetings enabling members to share friendship and philatelic knowledge.
Daytime Meetings The Society also meets on the first Tuesday of every month except November (second Tuesday) and January (no Meeting) from 1pm to 3pm. This friendly forum is designed for members who do not wish or are unable to attend the evening meetings.
The Postal History Study Group meets at 7.45 pm on the second Wednesday of every month except January.
Other meetings are advised in the annual syllabus.
